Bulbapedia says you just need max EVs, but I really don't know what else the problem could be. I kept track of the EVs, and according to my counting ~skills~ Lapras would be at 523 EVs if possible, so even If I messed up in my counting once or twice, I should be covered. I used the vitamins before I started battling any pokemon, so that can't be the problem either.

oh wait shit, i remember now. I gave it a ganlon berry or whatever when I finished training SAtk because I accidently got in a fight with a trainer. I forgot that instead of taking away ten when you're above 100, it resets it all the way back down FFFFFFF. thanks for the help anyways! :D

So today, we met up at the cafe in Whole Foods and.. talked about Takarazuka for like, two hours. SHE WAS SO SWEET and oh my god it was just like, the most fantastic thing. Little makes me as happy as getting to talk about Takarazuka with anyone who will listen, much less someone who actually KNOWS and is IN MY TOWN klajfkldsjgkld. What are the freaking ODDS?! The cosmos works in the most absolutely fantastic ways sometimes. So, so good. ♥
♥♥ Immediately after leaving Whole Foods I ran into Marcus who I have not seen since high school! He gave me a big hug and we got really excited and ajskgjal of COURSE he was carrying Half-Blood Prince with him. This is the boy who secretly wrote terribly graphic Harry/Ron fanfiction in high school even though he was one of the most popular kids in school. Seeing people you haven't seen in forever and having them be pretty much the same in all the right ways is kind of wonderful. ♥
♥♥ And then I walked all the way home talking tosugar_and_synth on the phone. Admittedly things have been a little less smooth than normal between us recently because we're on very different schedules and in very different mindsets (since she's working full-time she's just looking forward to summer being over so she can move out here, but I'm still very much in a summer mindset so our moving in together is still kind of far off in my mind) but fkejlgjoa;gkl she really is.. just the most fantastic girl. She puts up with my crap and loves me for it anyway, and I could not be luckier. ♥

So I was thinking that Articuno is my favorite Pokemon, yet I've never EV trained one. So I decide to do it, since I have to catch the one from Platinum. I decide I want to catch it in a Heal ball too. Because I want it in a cute pink ball. After a few attempts, I catch Articuno in a Heal ball and name it Fubuki.
Only Fubuki has terrible IVs. And Fubuki is Adamant, + Attack - Sp. Att, terrible nature for Articuno. Unusable, I think. And I went through the trouble of getting it with a Heal ball too D: Does anyone else make effort to catch with certain balls?
I trade on the GTS for more Articuno. All I get are neutral natures and bad IVs...Then I remember I've restarted my Leaf Green game and am near Seafoam Islands. While fighting this Articuno a few times, I notice its got better speed and defense than my previous attempts at catching it. I catch it. It's another fricking Adamant nature. I consider resetting, but its IVs for both Sp Def and Speed are 31. The rest is average. That could be useful, I think. Articuno's base Attack is 85, its base Sp Att is 95. Not such a big difference, could I pull off a physical Articuno? I don't feel like resetting so I save the game and ponder what to do with Adamant Articuno. Since I plan on using it for the Battle Frontier, not on other people, I consider this move set:

Thankfully, I can alleviate one of these vital questions no doubt taunting the sullen recesses of your soul (for all other niggling existential crises may I please direct you to this) for now there is...DEADLIEST WARRIOR!! A beautiful product of television that could only burst forth in such an insidiously bloody spray from the fertile womb of celebrated violence lacking any consequence: YOU ESS AY! YOU ESS AY! Indeed, it appears to transform me into some 18 year old keg swilling porn enthused frat boy, whooping such obnoxious obscenities as:
“HOLY SHIT!!” “THE MAFIA, FUCK YEAH!!” “BAD ASSSSS!!” “LOOK AT THAT SKULL EXPLODE!!”
and nonsensical sexual crudities as:
“I'D TAP THAT ASS!!”

The series follows a very simple premise: if two infamous warriors from history fought, who would win? It explodes onto the screen like an undersexed, ramen sustained, WOW addicted fifteen year old boys wet dream. We are assisted on our voyage of admirable discovery by the magnificently named Dr. Armand Dorian, who I suspect moonlights as a super villain of world renown when not gauging whether an ice pick has punctured adequate amounts of flesh to kill, some geek with a computer who runs the battle simulations and some other average dude who knows about biomedicine or something, but who usually just stands around stating obvious unsciency things like pointing out how a mannequin with half its fake brain exposing its seductive fleshy curves to the world would be "TOTALLY DEAD, DUDE!!!"
Each week they are flanked by 4 reliably unattractive, testosterone infused “experts” some of whom have such bizarrely specific realms of expertise that I can’t help but wonder what exactly they do when their knowledge of Viking battle techniques is not being called upon to save the world. So, during the course of the next 40 minutes each team of 2 "experts" simultaneously exalt the virtues of their preferred warrior in a sticky explosion of perpetually smug posturing, it's like vicarious machismo masturbation, and engage in poorly scripted uncomfortably acted attempts at rivalry that are only beaten in levels of awkwardness by the replicated history battles themselves. This artificial antagonism unravels itself in a manner marginally more intellectual than“YOU’RE MUM!!!”, which is largely why it’s so amazing. But this is not all!! When not squabbling at the prompting of the producer, they try their very best to disfigure a series of mannequins, possessing varying degrees of likeness to our own internal anatomy, with their chosen warriors terrifyingly awesome arsenal of weaponry. All to elucidate precisely how dead these infamous killing devices will render you, but not really because it's mainly to show awesome and cathartic fake carnage is and not show how ever so slightly worrying an insight into the human condition that is.
When all these results are collated, the aforementioned computer geek runs a computer simulation 1000 times and whoever emerges with the majority of the victories wins. However, this is not before we are subjected to an ingenious visual estimation of what these historical hissy fits would possibly maybe probably not look like. Red corn syrup, utilised lessons in stage fighting and artful camera angles exploited to conceal budget deficits and locational anachronisms abound and I sit before my laptop and silently question whether I will ever witness something as incredible as this ever again.

I bought a used copy of Professor Layton and the Curious Village and I want to know how to reset the whole thing so I'm not seeing clues and stuff that was figured out by someone else. I don't see any options and the booklet wasn't in the case.
I tried to search online and all I could find was "choose 'save file' and turn power off while it's saving and the file will reset" but that didn't work.
Any REAL answers out there?

It's possible to over write the files that have already been saved, so when someone beats the game, their info stays there forever until I over write it with MY game info so instead of 126 puzzles it'll only have 3 or however many I've completed. However you can't do it from the VERY beginning, so you have 3 puzzles to solve before getting the option. My husband suggested I save over all the other person's info with mine on all three files so it's back to the basics. So that's what I did.

Tons of new information, the most interesting tidbits;
- Eusine, a character from Crystal, is in the game.
- Red Gyarados appears in the Lake of Rage at Level 30.
- Latios and Latias are in the games at Level 30.
- Mewtwo is in the game.
I think Eusine being in the game is interesting, and I know a lot of you are gonna be excited about that. I'm personally relieved Red Gyarados is confirmed in the face of early rumors saying otherwise, and personally I'm hella excited about Latios and Latias in HG/SS because I've personally always considered them Johto legendaries, even if that makes no sense, both because they were in a Johto-era Pokémon movie, and because of that whole red/blue triangle thing they share with the Togepi line.
Given all these legendaries showing up in this game that weren't there before, people who wanted a 100% pure remake of HG/SS can probably kiss that idea goodbye, alongside plot changes like the Kimono Girls apparently being encountered several times. Tons of new information, the most interesting tidbits;
- Eusine, a character from Crystal, is in the game.
- Red Gyarados appears in the Lake of Rage at Level 30.
- Latios and Latias are in the games at Level 30.
- Mewtwo is in the game.
I think Eusine being in the game is interesting, and I know a lot of you are gonna be excited about that. I'm personally relieved Red Gyarados is confirmed in the face of early rumors saying otherwise, and personally I'm hella excited about Latios and Latias in HG/SS because I've personally always considered them Johto legendaries, even if that makes no sense, both because they were in a Johto-era Pokémon movie, and because of that whole red/blue triangle thing they share with the Togepi line.
Given all these legendaries showing up in this game that weren't there before, people who wanted a 100% pure remake of HG/SS can probably kiss that idea goodbye, alongside plot changes like the Kimono Girls apparently being encountered several times. Like the Portraitist, the development of your character is the most important thing to you when you roleplay. However, you like your development and relationships to have some kind of overarching plot: you're not the type to enjoy a dressing room or any kind of roleplay where your character can't grow in at least a semi-structured manner. The Yoko Kanno concert was...KJSNDFKJANFKJANFKJANFAFJN . I'm still more-or-less speechless over it, and it's been a few days. *______* MOST AMAZING CONCERT EVER!
I think I may just have to write my report on the concert on the train ride home from LA, because that'll be a good, peaceful time to work on it. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to remember anything important by looking at the list of what was played in what order anyway. :D By the time I get back to Gin's house at night after spending all day doing whatever, I tend to basically just flop down and go to sleep. It doesn't help that I have an awful cold and cough that has been draining me of my strength. ;____;
Yesterday I went and walked around Ueno park and zoo, the day before we went to the Pokémon Center (bought so much!), the day before that was the CONCERT, and yeah.
Today I'm going to Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, tomorrow I'm going to visit GAINAX, Sunday I'm going to Akihabara, and then Monday I head home.
Man, I really wish I hadn't gotten sick. ;; But at least I'm getting to do all the things I wanted to do in Japan, and my being sick didn't change my enjoyment of the concert.
